A lift is unquestionably the spine of any building, which has more than three floors in it. Along with that, it provides support to the structure. The aim of installing lifts in a building is to offer a short transportation facility on the floors because it saves time and energy.   • Capacity: The need for lift arises from this very first factor. Capacity is the first window out of which the contractor should lookout. The building's capacity includes the expected number of people going to live and the number of floors a building consists of. Another factor that will impact the decision is time. One lift can not function for a building of 20 floors as it will take time to pick and drop the members. Therefore, plan accordingly. 
  • Lift design: The design of the lift must be finalized as per the site. Suppose the lift design would be different for homes and flats while corporates have different needs. Therefore, the lift specifications must be approached differently. 
  • Safety: The utmost factor is safety. The lifts should be properly wired and hanged. Apart from that, they need to ensure how much weight it can bear and run a test to check the maximum capacity.
