Which cordless drill to choose

Well, we will first have to look at the various features that are important in the best cordless drill. These characteristics mainly relate to the technology and the power inside the device, although they may also be related to the additional products that you get with your purchase. By going through these requirements and checking with yourself what kind of work you want to do with the tool, it is a lot easier to bring order out of the chaos and find a good cordless drill.

The voltage of the device

The voltage is the first thing you should look at. The battery in the drill will provide a certain amount of voltage. You guessed it, this voltage has voltage. For lighter jobs it is not necessary to find a drill with the highest possible voltage. This can even backfire: if you only need a drill for small holes, the powerful drills will in most cases be just a bit too intense. What do you have to think about? If you do not have to drill in metal or stone but will only work in wood, you can see this as light work. For strong metals or bricks it is better to look for a device that still has a little more voltage. It is wise to look at the voltage in combination with the diameter of the drill. With a light drill you will usually be able to drill holes that are a maximum of 22 mm, for the large jobs the drill must be able to drill at least 30 mm wide. A good rule of thumb to remember: the maximum drill diameter minus 6 mm gives optimal use.
